People & Culture: The Purpose of Work
At 35 years old, leadership coach Jen Dary had a toddler, a new baby and a fledgling small business. Then she found a brain tumor behind her left eye. After navigating a serious diagnosis, brain surgery, and recovery, Jen decided it was time to take some real risks.
In this dynamic session, Jen will describe her journey from tentative entrepreneurship to swinging for the fences. She will invite attendees to examine the question: what is the purpose of work in my life right now? And how does this answer set you up (or not) for success? How do we support team members who are facing these types of challenges?
Jen will lay out rules for keeping ourselves and our teams stabilized and balanced in a chaotic world. She will teach attendees how to manage members of their teams who have different life priorities. Attendees will leave with personal tools to prepare them and their teams for a professional day of work, many laughs and a real nudge towards taking intentional risks of their own.
