Squeezing the Turnip: Finding Profit in the Work You Already Have
Thursday, November 5, 2026 • 12:00pm - 1:00pm ET
New business is slow for a lot of agencies right now. Maybe you’re holding steady, maybe you’re bringing in less revenue than you used to. This session isn’t about filling your pipeline. It’s about using the data you already have -- your financials and your time tracking -- to find where margin is leaking and what to do about it before you plan next year.
What we’ll cover:
Why profit slips even when revenue holds: the operational patterns behind shrinking margins that a top-line view hides
Connecting utilization to your bottom line: how capacity, delivery costs, and profit tie together, and which metric to watch first
Making the hard staffing calls with clear numbers: what carrying capacity you can’t fill actually costs, so the decision runs on facts instead of guilt
Protecting margin on the work you already have: the scoping, pricing, and delivery leaks that hurt most when there’s no new revenue to cover them
A Q4 profit checkup: a short list of numbers to review before setting budgets and plans for next year
